Carter G. Perks is principal legal counsel at Perks Law Group. By putting clients first, Carter offers a competitive advantage without compromise. With over seven years of experience in both Toronto and Ottawa, Carter discovered the inefficiencies and opportunities overlooked by ‘conventional law’ and set out to achieve a more efficient, accessible, and strategic approach to serving his clients.

In his business practice, Carter acts for the owners and managers of private business, providing strategic business structure advice for sole proprietorships, joint ventures, partnerships and corporations; negotiation and drafting of business agreements; mergers and acquisitions; and effective business succession planning. His goal is to protect the business and the legal rights of his clients in order to help them succeed.

In his employment practice, Carter advises both employers and employees in navigating complex workplace issues by providing straightforward, common sense advice. He is a passionate advocate for his clients who strives to resolve their matters in the most efficient manner possible.

Carter is an avid golfer. During law school, Carter competed for the Men’s Varsity Golf Team, travelling across England and Scotland. Nowadays, Carter enjoys rounds with his friends, family, colleagues, and all those who enjoy the game. Carter is a frequent player at his home club, Granite Golf Club, located near his childhood town of Uxbridge, ON.

Outside of the office, Carter can be found on the golf course or spending his weekends at his family farm north of the city.
